management with over three decades of experience advising governments, NGOs, and leading global organizations. His career includes pivotal roles in pandemic preparedness and response, disaster response, and health systems strengthening across Asia-Pacific, Eurasia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.
Dr. McGroarty has served as the leader of the classified G7 ERT since 1989 and as the senior technical advisor to global governments and national health ministries, shaping policies and responses to global health crises such as SARS CoV-2 / COVID-19, MERS CoV, SARS CoV, Pandemic Influenza, Avian Influenza, Ebola, and many others. A molecular virologist and seasoned leader, he has driven impactful collaborations addressing complex governance challenges, risk assessments, risk reduction, and capacity building in disaster, conflict and post-crisis settings.
